Experience/background: A certified California Poet in the Schools. Has taught 14 years in various settings, recently at Seven Hills School (6th graders) and for local home study students. Runs a monthly on-line workshop called Poetry Boot Camp with students from around the world poetrybootcamp.com, including a few high school-aged kids. Teaches through U.C. Experience/background: In addition to her teaching, Maxima makes her living as a writer, editor and graphic designer. She has been the recipient of a poetry fellowship from the Vermont Studio Center, has been published in various journals, newspapers and online, and teaches poetry workshops in Grass Valley and at U.C. Davis Extension. She holds a B.A. in Music Composition and Performance from Bennington College, and is an award-winning composer and a violinist. She teaches a weekly dance class, and has performed as a dancer in Vermont, Massachusetts, Texas, Colorado and California.

Experience/background: Has worked since 1984 as a school poet-in-residence affiliated with California Poets in the Schools www.cpits.org. Currently teaching in Placer County schools through Arts Council of Placer County’s “Poetry Out Loud” program. Also teaching poetry in Mendocino County schools. Teaches poetry writing in adult group and organization settings.

Experience/background: A master juggler and storyteller who has performed throughout the world at festivals and schools, and on national television (several countries). Has performed assemblies in most Nevada County schools. A California Arts Council Touring Artist grant recipient for 10 years. A published author ("The Turkey Prince," Penguin Books). Has recorded several CDs of stories.
